Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using NC Social Society's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. NC Social Society is a division of Acquire, Inc.

Membership Standards

Membership is subject to approval based on our community standards. We reserve the right to deny or revoke membership at our sole discretion. All members must:

Be at least 21 years of age
Submit to a membership application review process
Agree to uphold our Community Standards and Code of Conduct
Maintain respectful and dignified behavior at all times

Membership Fees & Cancellation

Membership fees are non-refundable except as specified in our cancellation policy. Cancellation terms:

Membership may be cancelled with 30 days written notice
No refunds for unused membership periods
Event tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before the event
We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases of conduct violations

Event Participation

Event attendance is subject to availability and membership status. By attending NC Social Society events, you agree to:

Arrive on time and respect event schedules
Adhere to venue dress codes as specified for each event
Follow venue rules and guidelines
Respect the privacy of fellow members
Conduct yourself in accordance with our Community Standards

We reserve the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule events. In such cases, registered attendees will be notified and offered alternatives or refunds as appropriate.

Code of Conduct

All members agree to uphold our Community Standards:

Treat all members and staff with respect and dignity
Maintain appropriate behavior at all events
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members
Follow venue dress codes and guidelines
Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
Accept "no" gracefully in all interactions
Not photograph or record members without explicit consent
Be responsible for guest behavior at events

Violations may result in warning, suspension, or permanent removal from the community without refund.

SMS & Communication Terms

By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box, you consent to receive SMS messages from NC Social Society. SMS communications:

Are optional and require explicit opt-in consent
May include membership updates, event invitations, and account notifications
Message frequency varies based on membership activity
Standard message and data rates may apply
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP

Limitation of Liability

NC Social Society and its parent company Acquire, Inc. are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or attendance at events. We are not responsible for:

Actions or conduct of members or guests at events
Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property
Personal injury except in cases of gross negligence
Third-party services or venue operations

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NC Social Society and Acquire, Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your conduct, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. SMS consent records are retained per our data retention policy.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of NC Social Society or Acquire, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Termination

We may terminate your membership at any time for violation of these terms, inappropriate conduct, harassment of any kind, or any reason at our sole discretion. In such cases, membership fees are non-refundable.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration. By agreeing to these terms, you waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice.

Severability
